monday funday.

Usually Mondays are ugghh kinda days, and now I'm finding that to be even more true because it means Jordan has to leave me and go to work oh so early in the morning. But it actually makes me cheerful to wake up early with him because I get to be a little wife and make his lunch for the day. :) I'm sure people will say that this wears off and gets old, but I really love doing all the little things for him that I can because he works so hard for us! He helps me so much that it is pure joy when I can help him. My favorite part is packing healthy vegetables and putting some ranch in a little container for him. haha.

Another reason I like the beginning of the week now is because Jordan has basketball games on Mondays, and I LOVE watching him play! He's playing in the league at Colonial with two of my dear friends, Matt Watkins and Matt Knox. Which means sometimes I'll get to see their women, Jordan Rogers (soon to be Watkins!) and Kathleen Knox. :) I'm excited because I never get to see them. Everyone always talks about my man's ballin skills, but I had never really witnessed them until last week. I'm going to brag on him for a minute - he is GOOD! As a coach, I have true appreciation for correct shooting form (for those who don't know, it consists of the way you hold the ball, how you jump, your shooting motion, and finish), and his's so perfect that it turns me on. God knew how much I would admire these skills when He created Jordan! haha. He was a little rusty for the first half, but the second half he played exceptionally well, scoring at least 27 points in that half alone! What I was even more impressed with, though, was his rebounding. What a proud wife I was. Okay I'm going to stop talking about basketball, and it's just a church league, but he's just amazing. haha.

I'm also excited about tonight because we're having people over for the first time to watch the NCAA championship game! Go Butler! Ever since Duke lost, I've been wanting Butler to win. I like their teamwork and their coach. So anyway, I have a lot to do today to get ready for tonight, but it's fun because it's OUR place. I love decorating and getting things in order. I'll write a post later that's totally about the apartment so I can share what we've done with it. The most important thing, though, is that we want it to be a place where God is the center and where He is always honored! He has blessed us with so much, and we pray that we can serve Him in our home. May His name always be lifted up and praised!

So this Monday should be a day full of good times and I am pumped to see how it all goes. I hope this will be a place where we can constantly have people over and make awesome memories and share great times with our loved ones! I hope everyone else has a fabulous Monday as well. I think that "Friday" girl should make a song about every day of the week...though painful, it could maybe be used as an educational tool...if you don't know what I'm talking about then look it up on youtube. It's pure awfulness.
