10 day you challenge: 5 foods.

Mmm. Food. Only five? I guess I'll try to pick only five...

10 Day You Challenge: 5 Foods

1. Ice Cream.

I know I've said this before in my Nine Loves but I seriously am all about ice cream. I could eat it with every single meal, no lie. I never, ever, ever get tired of it. My favorite ice cream places/brands?

Goodberry's - chocolate with marshmallow

Coldstone - cake batter with cookie dough

Breyers Mrs. Field's Cookie Dough Blast

Jason's Deli - chocolate. Think this is weird? Go go the Jason's in Cary. For some reason the one in Cary is better than the other ones I've had. The ice cream is excellent and has a custard-like texture and flavor. I adore it.

Sunni Sky's - cake batter and brownie batter together

Ben & Jerry's - Phish Food. I LOVE IT SO MUCHHHH. Just look at that description. Glorious.

Also, Wendy's chocolate Frostys, Dairy Queen cookie dough blizzards, Cook Out Mint Oreo milshakes...ahhh I could go on and on...

2. Cajun Chicken Pasta.

I've also said this before, but if a restaurant has some form of this meal, I will order it. Ohmyword I am wanting some so badly just thinking about it. I've had it at a LOT of restaurants and I think the best one I've had so far has been at The Cheesecake Factory. It is a chicken and shrimp jambalaya and it is SUPERB. I just can't get enough of anything cajun-y with chicken and pasta. Which is why I made my own following the Pioneer Woman's recipe and it was pretty daggon good. I will definitely be making it again.

3. My Grandma's Fried Okra.

This is my favorite vegetable in the world. She puts some sort of seasoning on it that is a little bit spicy and it is AMAZING. But, the thing is - I don't like other people's okra. Every time I try it somewhere else I'm just like ehhh. It's okay, but not awesome. I need to learn how to make it exactly like my grandma so I can carry on its awesomeness in my family.

4. Chips and Dip.

I'm not even gonna specify which kind of chips and dip because there are so many different wonderful kinds. I actually just made this yummy Mexican dip from allrecipes.com for Christianity Explored the other day and it was gone very quickly. :)

5. Rolls.

I love bread way too much. Especially ROLLS. Have you had O'Charley's rolls? They're THE BEST. If someone ever asks what restaurant we should go to, I usually suggest O'Charley's solely due to their rolls and the fact that they have Diet Dr. Pepper.

  1. Ashley, I'm so happy you said chips and dip. I tell everyone that's my greatest weakness when it comes to food--no matter how full I am, I will keep eating chips and dip if they are around! :)
