I like how the planner splits up morning, day, and night. Quite helpful. I even got some cool colored Sharpie pens to color code my tasks. I have always loved to color code everything in my planners. Even way back in my high school days.
But something that is a bazillion times more important than writing stuff down in my planner is finding rest in the Lord.
"Then Jesus said, 'Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.'"
To spend time in the Word and in prayer eases my mental overload like nothing else.
It does me a lot more good than a nap or a massage or a planner or a lazy day ever could. It refocuses me. Makes me realize what truly matters. Reminds me of my purpose. Puts everything into perspective.
I am so thankful that God gave us the gift of His Word and the ability to communicate and have a relationship with Him. This isn't about religion, people. It's so, so much more.
If you want to find the rest and purpose that I am talking about, please do not hesitate to ask me about it. Erin Condren may change your life, yes, I'm not denying that. But living a life for Jesus? That changes EVERYTHING.
