Can You Feel the Love Tonight?

If you know me, you know I love Disney music.

I mean I really, REALLY love Disney music

If I'm ever in a bad mood or have to do something unpleasant (like washing the dishes), you better believe I'm gonna whistle while I work with Snow White or clean the house with Cinderella.

So I thought I'd brighten your evening with some of my favorite Disney love songs

I'll start out with this amazing song that was in our rehearsal dinner slideshow. We had the Sir Elton version but you gotta watch the movie clip from The Lion King. How could anyone not love this song??

And then, of course, the song that so wonderfully describes our love story from the movie Tangled.

The music in Beauty and the Beast is incredible. But most people forget about this little number when their relationship changes...I LOVE this song.

This one's an oldie but a goodie from Sleeping Beauty. How romantic.....also creepy and in present times probably would turn into an episode of Law and Order: SVU. Hopefully she had some pepper spray in that corset. But you gotta love it. That owl cracks me up. :)

Okay so this one isn't Disney. It's from The Swan Princess. And it's a long one. But you HAVE to watch it. It's seriously so good. One of my favorite animated musical scenes ever.

This one isn't Disney either, it's from Thumbelina, and it's pretty cheesy...but I've always loved it. Does that voice sound familiar? That's because you heard it in The Little Mermaid! :)

And I saved the best for last. Aladdin. :) My favorite Disney movie ever has this masterpiece in it. Enjoy.

I could put so many more...but I'll leave it at this for now. Maybe I'll do Round 2 tomorrow!

Baby Fever?

It seems like every other day that I find out a friend/blogger is pregnant recently. Has anyone else noticed that?? Is that the stage of life I'm in now? I still have so many weddings this year so it's not like that stage is over...but man, baby season is hitting hard. I'll turn 24 next month so I guess that's normal for my peers to be  makin' babies.

And I'm not complaining. I love it and I get SO pumped when I see/hear that news!

So since we've been married 1.25 years now, we get those typical questions. The "how's married life" questions have decreased, and the "when are y'all adding to the family" questions have increased.

I never really know how to respond to those questions because it's not like we have an exact plan. One day I'm just going to shock someone and give a reply such as,

"We have decided that November 14th of 2014 is when we will begin to attempt to conceive a child. Until then we will be practicing."

But I suppose I'll refrain from that and just be honest as usual -
We're not planning on having any kids anytime soon but you never know what God's plans are!

And we'd love to have some more years as a family of two. We're in NO rush to expand. But if we were surprised with a little one, of course it'd be a blessing!

Is that a sufficient answer? Ehh, I don't know, but it's the truth. :)

When my nephew was born, people were constantly asking if it gave me any baby fever. That answer was easy - No!! My sister-in-law Danielle is so wonderful and so much more advanced in wifedom than me that it makes me look at her and think that I'm a LONG way off, haha.

My nephew Harvey at Easter this year. Can you even handle that cuteness?

I barely even remember to put my cereal bowl in the dishwasher after I eat. I have no desire for even the smallest of pets. Not even a fish. So I doubt I'm ready to care for an adorable, helpless human being that depends completely on me and Jordan.

Don't get me wrong - I have my moments when I get a baby fever temperature of about 104 degrees. But it usually goes away pretty quickly.

When I'm feeling that way, I have a conversation with Jordan that goes like this:

"Remind me again that we're not ready for kids."
"We are not ready for kids."
"Yeah, you're right."

End of conversation.

For now I'm definitely content keeping up with all of my friends' pregnancies/babies, seeing cute nurseries on Pinterest, and reading your pregnancy/motherhood blog updates! I SO admire you beautiful mamas out there! And will be asking you for advice later. Not now. Later. :)

Picture and Life Update!

So I never showed y'all my May Photo a Day pics. Since I'm way overdue for a photo update anyway...here they are. NOT in order. That's how they loaded and that's how they'll stay, haha. Excuse my laziness. But since we're over halfway through June anyway, I guess it doesn't matter. :)

My BFF Ashlee and I during a night of fun and Nerf fights.

My blinding workout clothes. And no, I don't even run outside. Actually, I don't even run period. (H8 running.)

My sweet aunt and uncle gave us this Daily Light book for our anniversary. It has two compilations of Scripture for every day of the year. They showed us their old Daily Light book that they've been using for years, and their parents'. So cool.

Two necessities for my new job: watch and water bottle. Thanks, Target.

Get in my belly.

My adorable Kindle case is from Bluebird Mountain Etsy shop. LOVE it.

A peaceful morning to me = the Word and hot chocolate.

My favorite snack ever.

Love my beautiful mothers. :)

One of our auto-refractors at work. This little guy can estimate your distance prescription in about 30 seconds!

A sunny day with my man.

After a few years apart I got to reunite with the Lovette boys. :) And Jordan fit right in with their....uniqueness. Haha.

Easter pic of my amazing fam. (No, my bro is not an Express model...yet.)

From the back porch of where we stayed in Morehead City. I wanna go backkk!

Mr. Blue Sky. (A gold star for anyone who can name the band who sings that song. One of my faves.)

Vacation was a blast. More pics of that to come. :)

Jordan got his hair chopped if you didn't notice! I LOVE it.

My mom's cookies. Mmmm.

I sure am longing for that beach again.

Okay, hold up. Have you read The Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers???? YOU SHOULD. These books have inspired me ridiculously. I don't know if I've ever read fictional books that have helped my walk with God so much. Except for maybe Redeeming Love. Which is also by Francine Rivers. She is a baller.

My sweet mother-in-law preparing some wonderful food for us at the beach. We feasted every night.

The smells of my man.

I seriously wish I could jump into this picture.

My bedtime lately. (Sooo early for this night owl!) We are constantly on the go when we're not working and it's so TIRING. But I love it.

Oh heyyy pink scrub day.

Sun during rain. The devil was beatin' his wife. (If you haven't heard that expression, you should probably view my accent vlog from a while back.)

The only One who never fails! I can always stand on His promises.

Doing my gorgeous friend Lindsay's hair for a wedding. And eating a giant bag of Sour Patch Kids. I love them both. I love her more than Sour Patch Kids. (That is a LOT of love right there.)

That's all for now. :) More updates coming soon! Too much life is happening to not share!

Now I'm off to read some blogs. :)
