Athleisure with Stitch Fix

Athleisure is a bandwagon that I am currently driving. Did I sleep in these clothes? Did I work out in them? Or did I just go to the store? The world may never know.

I asked Stitch Fix for some specific articles of athleisure type clothing and they sent the PERFECT items. I wear these clothes way, WAY too much. They're comfortable but a little more put together than yoga pants and a t-shirt.

  • John Striped Cardigan ($48) -- SO SOFT. Ridiculously soft. Neutral. Great length. (Covers my rear, I'm 5'4" for reference.) Can dress it up or down. The perfect cardigan.
  • Teighlor Slim Fit Drawstring Jogger Pant ($78) -- Again, crazy soft. Thick enough to be legit pants. They are more expensive for a good reason -- these are NOT your typical joggers. The quality is superb. They have such a smooth, soft, luxurious feel and I can tell they'll hold up for the long haul.
  • Jesse Crossbody Bag ($48) -- The only bag I carry when I'm not using a diaper bag. I love the size and it goes with everything.
  • Voice Zip Sneaker ($69) -- Comfortable, but a step up from normal sneakers. I was wary of requesting shoes but even though the first pair they sent me didn't fit, I was able to easily exchange them for a different size.

  • Accalia Anorak Jacket ($128) -- Exactly what I was looking for in a new jacket. Super versatile and I love the olive color. This also looks amazing dressed up with jeans and heels. It's a waterproof material which makes for a stylish raincoat as well.

As I've said in the past (like in this past review) it helps to be really specific with your requests. I tell them exactly what I'm looking for and pin what I like on my style board. Sometimes they've sent me exactly what I've pinned!

Although the prices can (but don't always) run higher than I would normally spend, I don't mind that for a few reasons. Firstly, it takes the time and effort of shopping out of the equation (I also just dislike shopping in general). Secondly, the quality is excellent. I've gotten some of my most loved and most worn staples from them. Lastly, I'm just gonna be up front here -- I save up referral money for this. That's an awesome part of Stitch Fix -- after you get your first one, you then have your own referral code and can get $25 for EACH person who tries it after you recommend it to them. That's a pretty sweet perk and can add up quickly.

Have you gotten any great athleisure pieces from Stitch Fix

my amazing Keen shoes.

First of all, I am so ridiculously excited about Hawaii. :) :)

Well, actually I could be in Hawaii right now for all you know. I'm not going to tell exactly when we'll be there. As I've said before, be cool about internet safety, y'all.

I mean I guess if I comment on your blog or something, then I'm probably not in Hawaii. But let's not spill the beans if I do that. I have faith that the people I follow and who follow me are not creepers...it's those other world wide web weirdos that I worry about. (That was some nice alliteration right there.)

Anyway, you'll continue to see blog posts from me while we're in Hawaii, whenever that is, and then when we get back I'll be like okay we're back. And show you some awesome pictures.

My husband is a sweet man who wants me to be an ultimate adventurer in Hawaii so he got me these beauties:

You can find these Keen Whisper shoes here.

Okay, maybe they aren't that beautiful to you, but compared to other shoes in this category they are CUTE. But I don't love them for cuteness.

These shoes are for all kinds of outdoor activities. They're even waterproof. So they're perfect for the kind of exploring we're going to be doing, and for future events like camp and such. But I don't even love them for their versatility.

I love them because they FIT MY FOOT! Perfectly! See that drawstring? You can make the entire shoe tighter so it is oh so snug and wonderful feeling. It's not until I put on a shoe that actually fits my foot that I realize how most shoes I own don't actually fit my foot. If you haven't heard about my shoe woes before, I have no arch whatsoever, a completely flat foot, and the most narrow foot/heel you will ever meet. (So do others on my dad's side of the family!) It is extremely difficult to fit. When I find a shoe that really does fit, it calls for celebration.

So I am celebrating this shoe. I know it's meant for extreme activities...but if you see me wearing them at the store or something don't judge. I give you permission to tell me I've gone too far if I wear them for a formal event. But I just don't want to take them off.

When the guy at REI told us that Keen made this version of the shoe to be especially narrow, I wanted to hug him, and go find the person at Keen who made that decision and hug him/her too.

I also like them because on their website it says "Sox" instead of "Socks" which is exactly what I'd do if I had a clothing website. But that's irrelevant.

What kinds of activities will y'all be doing in Hawaii that require such extreme footwear? you may ask. You will just have to wait and see from pictures. :)
