Last night I was completely exhausted in every way from this busy week we've had so I didn't even open the computer. Therefore I did not write a Wednesday Witness and I apologize. So here it is...but on Thursday morning. I know your life is probably turned upside down by this, but don't slam your computer down in disgust. It'll be okay.
This week I have been sharing the gospel with people I kinda know a little bit, so I'm not going to put their names or anything. I'm not even going to write any details besides a few things. Other than handing out a couple more tracts this has been what I've focused on this week. Let's just call them Harry and Hermione. No idea where I got those names, they were completely random....
So Harry seems to have a twisted view of God and who He is and what He's all about. Harry definitely doesn't understand the gospel because that's not what he associates with "God". I'm trying to talk about God in a completely gospel centered way of course, and use different names other than "God" interchangeably, like Jesus, Jesus Christ, our Savior, the Lord, etc., so he knows that they are all the same and not separate. Pray that Harry will start to know more about our true God and that the truth will overcome what he already has in his head.
Hermione seems to be a lot more open to new ideas about God, but she just doesn't see our need for Him as our Savior. She thinks that because life is going well, then she is just fine. I think that's how a lot of people are, especially if they claim to believe in God but do not put belief into practice like Hermione. Pray that Hermione's heart will be softened and that she will see our desperate need for a Savior.
Thank you for your support and prayers. Have a blessed day! Speaking of having a blessed day, read this post by Kellie about how now at her husband's work they're not allowed to say that anymore. Crazy! And sad.
That is wonderful that you are helping these two understand more of who Christ really is. There are so many people who *think* they know God, when in reality they have such a false picture of Who He really is. I will pray that both their hearts will soften and they will allow you to speak freely to them!
